Ball Platformer

A fun and very short platformer where you play as a physics-based ball. You can use speed to your advantage in certain areas, but it can sometimes have an opposite effect. Keep in mind this game is very short, Ps; My record is 67 seconds, impossible to beat, sorry.


Instructions

Get coins to increase the amount of hits you can take. 1 obstacle hit = 1 coin taken away from you. Hit enough obstacles and when you have no more coins, game over. Remember, since this game is very short

Jump [SPACE] to gain speed, in sacrifice of momentum

Don't fall off the map, or game over

Coins won't progress over to your next level, and if you die in the next level, you are back to the first level, so calculate your every move as the stakes get higher every level. (There's only 2 levels as of 8/4/2024)

In the near future, I will implement these features:

More levels of course (around 3 new levels)

Record system for time taken to complete the game (like personal record and current record), maybe world record if I make this game multiplayer

New obstacles

More animations, like the ball gets squashed when hit, or obstacles react  visually to collision

Anyways, this project is just for fun, practice and experience, and I would love to see everyone's opinion about it and what I could improve on. I will keep this game updated regularly as my skills in game development improve, and I will not allow donations to this game as it's obvious it isn't worth any dollar right now :)

Also, sorry if the game size is too big for such a small game, I am working on a way to make it smaller.
